|MAN planetary hubs||Joel||8-25-02|
|I am looking for someone who has delt with the MAN planetary hubs. I am trying to change the road speed and my calculations show that removing the reduction in the hubs will do it.|

|I'd like to know myself if you talking about the Man 792 Americana|

The serial # indicates that it is a 792.

|Have you found out any info on changing the gearing yet...I'd like to do the same to my bus conversion. Have also 4-new-chunk assemblies with ring and pinion setups.|

Could you check those assemblies for ratios? Mine is a 3.45:1 on the differential. My Hubs are 27/18 teeth count giving a 1.5:1 reduction. The overall reduction is 5.175:1. I have not been able to figure out if MAN changes the gear ratio at the differential, the hub or both.
