MAN planetary hubs Joel 8-25-02
I am looking for someone who has delt with the MAN planetary hubs. I am trying to change the road speed and my calculations show that removing the reduction in the hubs will do it.

I'd like to know myself if you talking about the Man 792 Americana
Re: MAN planetary hubs Joel 12-21-02
Steve
The serial # indicates that it is a 792.

Have you found out any info on changing the gearing yet...I'd like to do the same to my bus conversion. Have also 4-new-chunk assemblies with ring and pinion setups.
Re: MAN planetary hubs Joel 1-1-03
Steve,
Could you check those assemblies for ratios? Mine is a 3.45:1 on the differential. My Hubs are 27/18 teeth count giving a 1.5:1 reduction. The overall reduction is 5.175:1. I have not been able to figure out if MAN changes the gear ratio at the differential, the hub or both.
