Re: Which bus to buy Jason 12-27-01
Not so sure that there is such a thing as the best bus to put your money into and if there were you would probably have at least a hundred considerations to arriveat the answer. Bottom line is, whatever suits your personal considerations and of course, your wallet. I feel that one of the transits is probably going to get u a more modern bus for less money--but u have sacrifices there, ie. underfloor space and gearing(in most cases) probably being the two most prevelant.
I have read all through this forum and need some advice on which animal to put my money on. I have been a diesel mech, electrician and for the last 7 years I own and operate a millwork/cabinet shop. You people have the best knowledge that I have found on this subject and I would appreciate any advice. Thanks Jay White.

RTS

in canada GMC new looks / classics
and old flyer d800 /d900
are reliable
newer flyers d40 have bean less reliable in some cases the busses thay replace had to replace them because rust+ frame cracks etc
we dont run flxabls or RTS busses
because they were demed under powered with only US engines avalable
GM diesels never ran the DIESEL DAZZELER setup and british build cummons 903 are VERY powerfull!!!
