Hi,
I just purchased a 1968 Franklin RV. It has a monomatic toilet which I have no idea on how this contraption works. I don't know what chemicals to use or how to clean it. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Dawn
HI- PROUD NEW OWNER OF A 1968 ARISTOCAT AND WOULD APPRECIATE THOSE MANUALS YOU HAVE. ALSO, THE MONOMATIC TOILET IN IT HAS AN ELECTRIC MOTOR THAT SEIZED. ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO GET A REPLACEMENT? THANKS!
The monomatic toilet by Monogram Industries is or used to be one of the best on the market. To "charge" the toilet first connect you sewer hose and dump it to make sure it is empty. The dump valve is located in the front near the floor. There may be a clip on it slide the clip off to the side then just pull the handle towards you. The dump valve will open and the contents will run down your sewer hose and out.
Close the dump valve replace the safty clip. Then get a bucket with three gallons of water in it and poor it into the toilet. You have just 'charged' the toilet. You can now add some chemical to it so it will not smell as you use it. You can pick up RV chemicals at any RV store or even WalMArt. Of course Monomatic wants you use only their brand. Some of these rv toilets are manual flushing via foot valve. When you flush it, it circulates the water/chemical waste mixture thru a grinder and redcirculates it. Flush it a couple or thre times depending. If you have the electric model all you need do is push the electric flush switch and it flushes or circulates automatically for a pre-determined time then it shuts off automaticaly. For a good clean flush if you have to do a #2 they reccomend folding over a couple pieces of toilet paper and placing it in the bottom of the toilet first then when yo flush it it will flush much cleaner. Hope this answers all your questions.
I have just purchase a Keystone popup camper that came with a Monomatic toilet, no clue how the thing works either, if could e mail me some imfo on it I would apreciate that greatly.
I have a Monomatic Toilet in my 1971 Red Dale travel trailer which I recently purchased. Can you send me a site on how it works or mail me an instruction manual with diagrams? I need to how it refills the water tank. I manually filled the tank and I can hear water dripping into the waste tank!
I just got the same trailer with the same components with no literature... could you please email me that info also... thank you so much... Rick (909)920-4298
Hi, I would love if somebody could give me an idea of how this thing works.I filled it with water and tryed to cycle it.I can here the little switch function but i dont think the motor is working.Does anybody have a manual on this and if so will you please email me a copy. Im lovin my monomatic so much right now i could just rip it out of the floor LOL!!!! Thanks for listening.
I don't know why these are not the norm for RVs it is a better design than fresh water flush into a holding tank. I have a Monomatic toilet from a 1971 Mitchell camper for sale (SLC, Ut) whole or for parts. It works fine but the rubber gasket between the tank and valve is cracked so it leaks. The valve is good tho and the flush motor works. Dan's instructions are just what the manual says. I have the full manual that I can scan and e-mail if anyone wants a copy or if you want to buy the parts just e-mail me at ARWDONNA@MSN.COM with Monomatic in the subject line.
I have a 1969 Nomad Trailer and have used the Monogram Industries Inc toilet very few times. The submergable pump works but he little sping switch / button fails to cycle. This is part # 3346. Does any one know where I can get a new or used one that works. Thanks, Mike

I have a monomatic in a mitchel motor home. have figured out how to use in and it worked good for several years and then the pump shaft broke next to the impeller. does any one have a shaft they would sell?
if i can't find a shaft i might be willing to sell the rest of the parts.
Could you please e-mail me a copy of the documentation for the monomatic toilet? What kind of fridge do you have that is dead? I have a Norcold that does not work and of course, no documentation. So if you have that as well I'd appreciate it.
Teresa, i would very much like the same copies on the monomatic toilet..for my father...he bought an older model camper i thnk a 73 and needs to know how to operate it..thankyou for being so kind.

I have a 1970 Prowler camper. I know nothing of how to use most of it, but the Monomatic Self Contained - Electronically Operated Sanitation System is something I would really like information on to be able to use it. Further information printed on the toilet system is: Mmonogram Industries, Inc. 6357 Arizona Circle, Los Angeles
CA 90045.
If anyone out there knows how to use this creature, please email me at andreattyson@aol.com.
Many Thanks.....Andrea

I am still having trouble locating the Dump valve? 1971 Aristocrat Trailer, Monomatic toilet. Just recently bought it. It was mentioned in the fron near the floor. Most I have experienced are right there at the pipe. Someone has placed a wood block right there above the pipe could this be blocking the lever? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
I just purchased a 1972 scotty with a good working monomatic toilet. I am selling the toilet if anyone is interested they can email me at ralphnrenea@aol.com. thanks
You recharge the monomatic toilet just by pulling the valve out in front of the toilet down in front next to floor. Then closeing it by pushing it in. Then you just pore 3 gallons of water right into the toilet into the bowl. The toilet has a separator built it. now your ready to do your job. now remimber the job is not done till the paper work is.
I am looking for a electric motor for a monomatic toilet in a 1979 trojan boat. hoping its the same motor. Please get back to me if you have any parts or know where to get them.
I am looking for a monomatic toilet for a 1972 aristocrat lo-liner, or if anyone knows of a good replacement or self contained one that will fit in the space for the old one. it needs to bolt to the floor to fit the holding tank opening. any good advice would be helpful. thanks in advance
I have a monomatic toilet with manual I took out of my 1970 Land Commander that I would be glad to give to anyone willing to pay shipping costs. I live in Portland, Oregon area.
Gary or Jim - I have a Monomatic toilet from a 1971 Mitchell camper for sale (SLC, Ut) whole or for parts. It works fine but the rubber gasket between the tank and valve is cracked so it leaks. I am trying a new gasket tonight so - who knows? The valve is good and the flush motor works. Dan's instructions are just what the manual says. I have the full manual that I can scan and e-mail if anyone wants a copy or if you want to buy the parts just e-mail me at ARWDONNA@MSN.COM with Monomatic in the subject line.
