Monomatic Toilet Dawn 8-2-07
Hi,
I just purchased a 1968 Franklin RV. It has a monomatic toilet which I have no idea on how this contraption works. I don't know what chemicals to use or how to clean it. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Dawn

The monomatic toilet by Monogram Industries is or used to be one of the best on the market. To "charge" the toilet first connect you sewer hose and dump it to make sure it is empty. The dump valve is located in the front near the floor. There may be a clip on it slide the clip off to the side then just pull the handle towards you. The dump valve will open and the contents will run down your sewer hose and out.
Close the dump valve replace the safty clip. Then get a bucket with three gallons of water in it and poor it into the toilet. You have just 'charged' the toilet. You can now add some chemical to it so it will not smell as you use it. You can pick up RV chemicals at any RV store or even WalMArt. Of course Monomatic wants you use only their brand. Some of these rv toilets are manual flushing via foot valve. When you flush it, it circulates the water/chemical waste mixture thru a grinder and redcirculates it. Flush it a couple or thre times depending. If you have the electric model all you need do is push the electric flush switch and it flushes or circulates automatically for a pre-determined time then it shuts off automaticaly. For a good clean flush if you have to do a #2 they reccomend folding over a couple pieces of toilet paper and placing it in the bottom of the toilet first then when yo flush it it will flush much cleaner. Hope this answers all your questions.

Re: Monomatic Toilet Teresa 8-7-07
We just brought home, this last weekend, a 1972 Aristocrat.

In one of the cabinets was a manilla envelope with most of the appliances, toilet (Monomatic), stove (Magice Chef) dead fridge.

I will be more than happy to email copies of all the pages, or I can photo copy and mail them to you.

Just let me know which would work best for you.

I have a Monomatic Toilet in my 1971 Red Dale travel trailer which I recently purchased. Can you send me a site on how it works or mail me an instruction manual with diagrams? I need to how it refills the water tank. I manually filled the tank and I can hear water dripping into the waste tank!

My address is 6723 Reed ST. Arvada, Co. 80003

Thanks

I have a monomatic in a mitchel motor home. have figured out how to use in and it worked good for several years and then the pump shaft broke next to the impeller. does any one have a shaft they would sell?
if i can't find a shaft i might be willing to sell the rest of the parts.

I have a 1970 Prowler camper. I know nothing of how to use most of it, but the Monomatic Self Contained - Electronically Operated Sanitation System is something I would really like information on to be able to use it. Further information printed on the toilet system is: Mmonogram Industries, Inc. 6357 Arizona Circle, Los Angeles
CA 90045.
If anyone out there knows how to use this creature, please email me at andreattyson@aol.com.
Many Thanks.....Andrea

Re: Monomatic Toilet William Herd 8-13-08
You recharge the monomatic toilet just by pulling the valve out in front of the toilet down in front next to floor. Then closeing it by pushing it in. Then you just pore 3 gallons of water right into the toilet into the bowl. The toilet has a separator built it. now your ready to do your job. now remimber the job is not done till the paper work is.
