I have a 1979 starcraft pop up. i snapped the cable to raise the roof. do you have a way to change them with directions? thanks

I have a flagstaff type pop-up camper. cable broke and I spliced it back together. worked a couple of times and broke again further up the cable spool. eventually it will break inside the main gear housing. how hard is it to replace entire cable or is there a cable assembly that can be purchased and installed?57j8c
