|Towing with a hyundai sante fe||ray kay||8-11-03|
|Contemplating on buying a 20ft coyote hybrid trailer and pulling it with my 2003 sante fe. 2 wheel drive 3.5 v6. is it too much trailer for the vehicle?|

|I bought a 18 foot boat which with the trailer weighs about 2500 pounds. While I can's say I'm worried about getting any speeding tickets going over the mountains, it did pull it fine. On flat ground you can't even tell the boats back there. Hope this helps. O yeah, I don't have the 3.5, I have the regular 6 cyl. Yours should be fine. Just watche the max tow weight. It's in the owners manual.|

I hope you have not bought it yet. Those little short wheelbase SUV's are really not suitable for towing anything but MAYBE a small pop-up. Towing a boat is as diffrent as noght and day from towing a camper, especilly a hard side camper.

|Herding it down the road is not the problem...Stopping it safely is a big problem. Also if you get out of shape on a turn or quick manuever you won't get it back. Recommend more wheelbase and GVW.|
