After many years of camping in a pop-up, I recently bought a one year old Trail-Lite Bantam 17'with all the options. However, I did not get any kind of "owner's manual" with the unit.
After using it last summer and fall, I had the dealer winterize it. Now it's time to hit the road again and I would like to de-winterize it myself. Can anyone give me the drill for doing this?
Anyone know where I can get a manual on operating and maintaining my Trail-Lite?

I found your question on the internet (coincidentally) while trying to find any history of roof leak problems with the Bantam Trail-Lite (also a coincidence). I have had a nightmare experience with R-Vision with our 21' R-Vision Trail-Lite. Bought in 2000, the linoleum started to discolor in 2001 around the door. Since we were in Louisiana, I thought this was a mold/condensation problem. We used the trailer only a couple times in 2002, and for the first six months of 2003, my husband and I both deployed to Iraq (both Army). When I returned in July, the discoloration was throughout the trailer, so I looked under the trailer for the first time and the unit was rusting from the inside out! I called our dealership, and they referred me to the warranty point of contact for R-Vision, who in turn referred us to a local R-Vision dealer (now we live in Pennsylvania). I drove the trailer to the dealer 3 hours away. No response for four weeks. I finally called R-Vision and asked them to call this dealership. R-Vision is saying that WE failed to perform the required roof maintenance every six months. (What roof maintenance?) I have an owner's manual which makes no mention of checking seals at any time! I called our dealership (again) which is in Missouri, and we plan to give them an opportunity to explain why we are having so many problems with our trailer after only three years. I have digital photos of the damage that I would gladly send you. I will also send you a copy of our owner's manual if you want! Beware...I think that R-Vision failed to seal our roof at all!
I am so upset about this $13,000 blooper (can't possibly sell it or trade it with the visible damage). Our next step is to give our dealership time to talk to R-Vision before we take formal action with an attorney! Anyway, I am happy to help you with the owner's manual. We will be away this weekend, but I can be reached at home or by cell phone.

Read your post about R-Vision and the problems you've had.I have put posts up on different forums looking for the manual you have.I lost mine back when i took it the dealership, they may have even removed it.I used to have a SunLite Koala before i got this trail-cruiser,i took it in for water damage(only had it about three months)they stole my microwave and a oven taoster out of it.I desperately need the manual about the maintenance on roofs.I had read my manual front to back and it only saidto wash the roof periodocly.Would be very gratefull for a copy also if you still have the original.Or Xerox the pages about roof care.

I am in need of some suggestions of where I could park my trailer when not in use. Rental yards want 45-50$ for a space a month. What would be the best way to store it when not in use?

I have a 2004 manual. It states to check the roof every 6 months and to pay particular attention to the seams where the areas of rubber are joined. Also to look for cuts from sharp objects and signs of cracking, weather or drying. Effected areas are to be re-sealed.

I too have discoloration around the door in the linoleum. Mine however was caused by a leaky waterline going to the faucet from the City water connection. It went unnoticed under a rubber floor mat for 2 years. I wish I had picked it up and at least checked once in a while.

I have a pop-up camper and am finding that in periods of heavy dew tiny water droplets are seeping thru the cover above the pull-out beds. Is there any treatement to waterproff the vinyl or is it beyond repair?
