5th Wheel vs. Goosneck hitch Brad 4-25-03
I just purchased a 37' Avion 5th wheel.
I own several trucks that have 2 5/16 goosneck hitches in them.

What are the pros & cons of converting the RV to fit my goosneck hitches?

Thanks, Brad

We have the gooseneck hitch and really like it. The only con is that it takes two people to unhook the camper.

I can't understand why it would take two people?? I have a goosneck dump trailer and I hookup and unhook by myself. Maybe not quite as easy to see that hitch is alined with ball when hooking up as with 5th wheel. I am going to have flatbed put on my pickup, and will have gooseneck ball under door in flatbed, so will convert 5th wheel to gooseneck and not have bed full of 5th wheel hitch.
I would like to see the RV trailer industry make gooseneck avaliable from the factory. Jerry
