My wife and I purchased a model 7212 last May. This is a 7'3" wide model, 21'7" long and weighs in at 3200 lbs. Our tow vehicle is a Dodge Durango with a 4.7 V8. We are using an Equal-i-zer hitch to control hitch weight and sway. we have made several short trips (200-300 miles) and made a trip to Key West, FL and back from Little Rock, AR during Christmas 2002. It pulls great, handles great and we have had no problems with the body integrity so far. I like the narrow width in heavy traffic around larger cities. Our previous camper was a 25.5'Prowler 5th wheel pulled with a 3/4 ton F 250. By comparison, this setup is as close to a 5th wheel as you can get. And the Durango helps since the family has grown. |
