Compare Wildcat FW to Cougar FW Kevin 2-10-03
Trying to decide which FW would be better the Wildcat by Forest River or the Cougar by Keystone. The Wildcat's cost is a little more, wondering if anybody has any insight on this?

Really not a good comparison. The Cat is hands above the Cougar. Simple things to check-Hit the inside of the slide--Note the Cat vacu-bonds, the cougar is soft. Note the trim around the sink-the Cat is real wood, the cougar plastic- Note the Cat has a six bolt axle, the Cat has surround sound. The Cat costs more but is really more in line with the Laredo, which is one step above the Cougar, but even then, the Cat shines!

I just picked up a Wildcat 2004 29bhbp with the garage and paid less than what it would cost for a Cougar. Both units are great, but I felt for my family that the Wildcat was a better fit. Good luck.

I have a 2002 Cougar278 EFS, purchased May 2002. Made numerous short trips thru summer and just returned from 2weeks in the Rio Grande Valley (1200 miles). I pull with a 2002 F-150 super crew Lariet. Both the p/u and f/w are great. I have had very minor warranty work on the f/w (valve on the oven). I compared the Wildcat and Cougar. Wilcat requires a bigger p/u. For the size, quality and money, nothing beats the Cougar.
