|I am in a similar postion. I use a 1994 Mazda B4000 (with the trailer towing package option) and it is rate to pull 5800 lbs. I pull a 20' trailer several hundred miles each summer without any problems. I bought the truck new and 178,000 on it now. When I need to replace this truck I will buy the same model (B4000). It is a V6 4.0L engine and (4 speed) automatic transmisson. Don't pull in overdrive, but Drive. My trailer weighs 3000 lbs. dry.|
Hope this helps.

|We have a 1996 Wilderness 30' TT and are thinking about a new tow vehicle. WE have been disappointed in our 2000 Suburban 1500 in towing. Even without TT it moves with wind easily. Towing in mountains is not easy. We've always used Suburbans prior with no problems.|
