Travel Trailer Purchase Roger 1-12-03
I own a 2000 V10 Excursion. I'd appreciate some advise on towable weight and length. Brand recomendations or cautions would be appreciated also.
Thank you,

It will depend on which rear-end your truck has and if it is 4 wheel drive. I will estimate that you are rated at about 10,000 lbs. or more. If you want to call me I will tell you about some good brands in which to look at. I am a dealer in Texas, but I will help you without trying to sell you. 281-829-1560

Hey Roger I have a V-10 Exc. also. I am buying the new fleetwood prowler AX6 2004. I reccommend u look at it vor the line. I called Ford and got the exact specs in writing to ensure I don't void the warranty and also bought the extended warranty. Some may argue the worth of it. But heck, for 1200 bucks I have a bumber-to-bumper warranty for 5-years-100,000k. Anyway, I can tow 10100 with v-10 and 3.7 rear end. By the way don't trust dealers. Car dealers will tell you your vehicle will tow anything and tRV dealers will tell you your trailer can be towed by anything. At least that is my humble opinion after towing trailers for 216+years. Good luck.
