|Anyone towing a titanium 5th wheel with a f-150, 5.4, 355 rear end. would like to know more.|
|The F-150 supercab, 5.4L, 3.55 axle is rated to tow 8,200 lbs. if it has the optional payload package. Otherwise the maximum trailer weight is 7,700. Most Titanuims weight more than these amounts. Visit your Ford Dealer and ask for the Ford Trailer Towing Guide. |
There are three numbers that you cannot exceed and still be safe. #1 - Maximum Trailer weight #2 Maximum Payload (pin weight plus tow vehicle options plus passengers plus cargo) #3 Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR) (Total weight of truck and trailer with people and cargo on board)
If any of your actual numbers exceed Ford's capacities, don't do it.
I have a similar truck with a 3.73 and payload package, and I would not tow that much trailer.
