RV Cleaning Ken Bennett 8-24-02
I'm having trouble finding a product to clean the dark road grime and streaks from my RV. I have tried several commercial products and the typical household concoctions to no avail.

Anyone have any suggestions? I would greatly appreciate any ideas that make the job easier to keep the white looking white.

I have a 30' 5th wheel trailer (one year old) that needs cleaning. I cannot clean it myself and am looking for someone who will. Can you recommend someone who will wash my trailer? My husband and I live in W.Milford, NJ. Thank you.

Try using equal parts of bleach and hot water and adding to that a couple of squirts of a lquid dishwashing soap. Works for me. Scott

I was very disappointed to see those ugly streaks on my HR Admiral. Saw that the streaks would appear on a seemingly clean RV. No regular automotive cleaners would work. Finally tried two products: MEAN GREEN and SINPLE GREEN. FInally, after a bit of elbow grease the heaviest streaks were gone !!! I found that using an old towel, folded into a manageable size, worked well. Spray full strength on an area about 2-3 sq. ft. Wipe with the towel. Repeat as necessary. At least now the worst streaks are gone and those remaining are manageable. Good Luck

"Simple Green" is great to remove black streaks. We were told my our maintenance man to always use an auto or marine detergent to wash the fiberglass, that dishwashing soaps are too harsh and could damage the gel coat over a period of time.

Tide with bleach also works GREAT!

I just washed my Trailer today for the first time this year. It has been sitting out so it had quite a few black streaks. I bought things trough Camping World. My RV dealer sold me this: Reliable Products. It works great! The web site is Good Luck
