Post New Message Tom, Not having seen your vehicle/s it sounds like the ball might be the wrong size for the trailer tongue or the ball is lose on the reciever part of the hitch. If not, then the size of the reciever may not be correct for the hitch platform itself.

Make sure that all the hitch bracket bolts are tight and then maybe take a trip to your mechanic or a hitch dealer(U-haul, Canadian Tire, etc.) and have them take a quick look.
