I have a 84 international 1/2 converted land barge. It just traveled from Vanc. Washinton to Massachusetts via W. Virginia. It is road ready for moving;front section is motorhome converted and the rear is open. It hauls 26,000lbs with a 10,000lb car at 65 mph (except on the hills)on most highways.
spec's are 392 gas motor with 130,000 + miles on bus. Brand new 10 speed (5x2)manual transmission with clutch/pp/flywheel. New brakes, king pins, and radiator. Custom body work; bus door has been replaced with a semi-truck door and up front seating with motorhome captains chairs, with a RV style door 1/2 way down bus side. A small kitchen, stove/oven,sink,heat,propane lights, some 12v/120, some interior shelfing, fold out sofa bed. 60 gallon grey water system and some copper plumbing. Rear is ready for completion, there is enough room to have a woodworking shop, snowmobiles or ?. My wife, daughter and pets lived in it for 9 months comfortably. This bus is ready to go with a Washinton State Title as a truck/motorhome combo, All glass, lights, drivetrain, brakes ect are in excellent shape, with all maintenance records from the original school district. It has some new parts and many maintained parts. All glass windows are intact, as well as the rear door. The only item this bus might require in the future is 6 brand new tires. The current ones are good but worn. The bus I bought had retreads and they all blew out one by one. I have replaced with worn original treads that are safer. I recommend radial truck tires if a l9ong distance is planned. Call to see in Mass. pictures are avaiable.
