This is the plan: convert a bus to accomodate wife, 10 children (yes 10!) and myself to travel and live in full-time. I have an internet business that I can easily work on the road from any location in the country. About 7 yrs ago, when we only had 7 children, we lived aboard our 1975 27' Dodge Diplomat for a year. The Diplomat was built back when people had families...so it sleeps 8, but we have out-grown it and need sleeping for at least 12. I am seeking advice on the best model of bus to convert for our needs. Thanks!

Get an entertainter conversion. i have seen some that sleep 12/ Look at the MCI, Egales, and GM

There is lot more living space in a fiftwheel & a class 6-7 truck hauler then a even a 45 footer coach. I saw up to 48' with 4 slide. The truck could have a 12' box fitted with bunk beds & a toilet,& sink. & the fiftwheel behind the box. Budget wise, a school bus with the body cut 3' in front of the rear axel & the fiftwheel installed 2-3' behinf the axel team with a 8.3/300 cummins would make a good hauler. just an idea good luck wrench

10 children (yes 10!) im gonna go out on a limb here. but if your gonna continue with a young n per year. you may want to look into revamping one of the mass transit double accordion type busses..

I have a 1996 Van Hool Entertainer coach with 12 bunks in it. I am almost ready to convert it into a motorcoach / motorhome. I have toyed with the idea of selling it and getting a toter. I race cars and our pit crew was using this coach when we were on the road. The toter would be a better fit for me and I would consider selling the Van Hool if you are interested let me know and i will email you some pics!! pdscdt@hotmail.com is my email address.
