Brake lights... Stephen 11-15-05
Hi all

I have a problem with my 85 B-700 school bus.

the brake lights dont come on when the brake is pressed. both turn signals work, and i've replaced the brake switch that the petal hits. any ideas???

Did you check for 12v at the switch?

If the turn signals work, the ground is good, but for the switch to work you need to have power to it.

Hope that helps!

Howdy

I can offer advice on most diesel/mechanical stuff. I've owned about 60 buses, at least 90% of them Gillig or Crown, and got to drive every one of them at one time or another. I currently drive a 1970 Gillig with a rear engien CAT.

I've also dismantled about 14 buses, including 3 Fords. (Only interesting until about the third one, then it begins to seem like work.)

I've been working on trucks and buses continually now for about the last twenty years, and on buses for the past 15, so I can usually help anyone with finding an answer.

Have a good one
