I heard so many people looking for bus manuals on the Crowns (which do not exist, I have seen only one, that I gave to my friend, about 12 years ago)
that I decided to go back into my files and collect enough info to assemble a pretty good copy.
The original Crown manual was a yellow book, about as big as a major city's telephone book, and bound so it was tough to use. Probably too much info for the average Joe or Josephine.
But over the years, I have collected manuals on the Crwon engines, the transmissions (but not the automatics) differentials, wiring systems, brakes and sir systems, steering gear, alternator, axles, and who know what else. I'm getting so old I can't remember my wofe's birthday.....at least that's my excuse.
If anybody needs any of this stuff, jsut drop me a line
happy bussin'

I was just browsing around looking for some interesting pictures of crown bus paint jobs and stumbled onto this. I would be interested in anything that might have to do with the 220 Cummins (turbo charged so I guess that makes it a 266), and also anything in regards to swapping out the 5 speed fuller trany for a 10 speed overdrive.
any info. or reply would be appreciated.
I TRADED FOR A 1973 CROWN BUS 2 YEARS AGO BECAUSE I WANTED TO MAKE A MOTOR HOME THAT WAS SAFER THAN A STORE BOUGHT. THE ONLY SERVICE MANUEL I COULD FIND WAS FOR THE TRANSMISSION. ( ALISEN HD-70 ) 6 SPEED AUTOMATIC. MY ENGINE IS A COMMINGS 250 NO SUPERCHAGER. THE BUS IS IN GOOD SHAPE, I PUT IN 2 NEW BATTERYS AND IT FIRED UP ON THE FIRST TRY. I WILL BE 70 ON MY NEXT BIRTHDAY SO I AM GOING TO PASS ON THE CONVERSION. I HAVE A FRIEND THAT SAYS HE WOULD LIKE TO DO IT IF I CAN FIND A SERVICE MANUEL FOR THE BUS. CAN YOU HELP ME OUT ON THIS MATTER ??? GEORGE
Kinkos or other copy centers will scan in manuals with high speed scanners which is what most photocopiers are now, for about 8 cents a page. I think you could make a lot of money selling digital manuals if you did this.
I am looking for electrical wiring manuals for crown bus
Hi, I am looking at a 1985 Crown with a 260 HP Dertoit and an Allison. Any manuals available? Also, any idea how difficult and expensive to convert to a manual trans? Thanks Jack
I have all the items you are looking for, including manuals for the Cummins engines.
