I am looking to purchase a bus to travel to car meets with my car in the back. Is this possible? I know that the back of the bus is up pretty high, could I put an air ride suspension on it to lower the back and raise the front? Then use ramps and a winch to pull it in. Also how much room is in the back of the bus behind the wheel wells. I also need the width of the inside of the bus. Thanks to anyone that can help. Mark

How much room behind the rear wheels depends on the type of bus and how many passengers it was designed to carry. It can vary a lot. Standard interior width is about 8 foot. I have a 1979 ford full size bus it has been painted blue with a yellow stripe all windows are limo black and first 20 feet of bus is converted to a camper, heat, tv,dvd, lights, cd player, day bed,counter top, table with 2 bench seats, will sleep 4 easy. The back half of the bus is made for hauling motorcycles, ATV,snowmobiles, what ever this is a gas powered machine runs great shape if you are interested drop me an email i might sell it, i want to do a new bus project. Like to get $2700 for this rig complete everything included.auto trans, 2 marine batt with a inverter to run tv, over all nice, could be just what you are looking for.It even has a simi bathroom. I would add a hitch and haul the auto behind the bus.
