We wanna drive it cross country one time then sell it and fly back. But we know we need to do some converstions. We are looking for Adventure.
We are in Califonia and want to do it leagaly we are all college age and don't have alot of money, but we know we need to get a few things done before it will be leagal. Change the paint from school bus yellow, bed, refer, sink. ect....? Any suggestions on how to do the cheapest converstions to get it registered in CA as an RV.

Cheap?

Pull out all the seats, put in a camping porta-potty a 5 gallon bucket to use as a sink and a camping stove and make sure you have a few gallon containers of water and a cot or two. Once you get the yellow paint covered, you will meet the letter of the law for a camper conversion.

Hope that helps!

My Crown is regestered in California as a motorhome and all that was done to get that was all the seats were out and it was carpeted. You can just stick a bed and a couch in it and go to the DMV and I bet they'll re-classify it to a motorhome.
