|As a rule of thumb, a cast iron block on a V8 weighs 175 pounds, cast iron heads are 25 pounds each and a crank is 25 pounds.|
Best guess for a complete engine would be 300 to 350 pounds bone dry and 400 pounds wet.

|The weight of the 6.0 L/Navistar is 1062/pounds dry, & this engine got more alluminum that the 7.3L.|
The 444E/7.3L weight 930/ dry.
so 1100/1300 is lot more realistic that 300/400 pounds.
