Need alternator bracket 1987 Ford B-700 with detroit 8.2L Anubis 2-24-05
Hi,

I've been on the road alot and haven't had time to check in much.

My Bus is still going strong, but I need to see if anyone has a B-700 Ford bus with the Detroit 8.2L in it that is parting it out.

My alternator bracket cracked and I have it fixed for now, but I would like to put another one on. No real help from Ford, and I've been to several junk yards too.

Please let me know if anyone can help out.

Thanks,

Anubis

Hi,

Sorry it took me a bit to get back to everyone. I finally found a *brand new* one to replace my old cracked one.

John,

Thanks for the info.
I may be in the NV area in the next few months. How much are you asking for both items?

Thanks,

Anubis

Have you tried contacting a detroit diesel dealer? It's been my experiance that parts like brackets and such are usually shipped with the engine, not the chassis. You'd be doing yourself a favor if you'd see what you local DD vendor has in the way of parts for your 8.2L

Hope that helps!
