I have a 1985 GMC, my actual turn signal switch is broken and I cant seem to find a way to get the stering wheel off to get to the switch. Any suggestions besides a wheel pulley. I do need to get, from from whom and a possible $???

I have never gotten a steering wheel off of *ANY* GM product without the use of a puller. I've tried rocking the steering wheel, I've tried putting the retaining nut part way on and beating it with a hammer. The only thing I haven't tried is using an air chisel with a center punch bit. If you have a air chisel, you can try that. I have had no luck with anything other than a puller.
