Propane Water Heaters	pixie	8-14-04
Greetings all ! I have an aquastar, large model propane home water heater. Should I use this in my bus, or will it be too big? Is there a better one I should get? This one is brand new, never been opened. Jennifer

Greetings, My only concern (other than the amount of space it takes) would be how well it stands up to vibration. The ones built specifically for RVs are made to travel. A skoolie is a little harder on equipment than a "better suspended" coach or stick and staples RV due to the rigidity of the suspension. I have a standard 6 gal. RV type waterheater in mine. It heats pretty quickly and will maintain hot water using the pilot light for the most part so it is very economical on LP. When we travel, it is usually the wife, 14 year old son and myself and there is plenty of hot water for showers and dishes. Not trying to burst your bubble about a house waterheater, just giving you some more things to think about. Also, those little RV waterheaters are about 250.00 and up. There are several On-demand heaters for a few hundred dollars. Check out this website http://www.mobilehomestead.com/index.html find Phred's poop sheets. You can find Bosch Aquastar models that work well in a mobile conversion.
