Need info on bus engine	Don	7-26-04
Does anyone know which diesel engine/tranny (automatic) is most likely to be in a 1984 Ford B700 based Thomas Built bus? The bus is a travelling kitchen for a drum corps on tour (1000 miles away) and they need a little help

Phil, If you are anywhere near DubuqueIowa on Tues, or Oklahoma City,OK on thurs or fri, or in denver next week the corps will be performing as they move toward denver for the 2004 championships

Thanks for the link it may help!, Problem is with the power steering tensioner(it seized as a tensioner put works as a pulley) it's adjusted manually for now about every four hours of drive time but it's a pain for the road crew

Go to: http://denver04.dci.org/ or http://www.dci.org/tickets/ for all of the information about the championship schedule for next week I'm involved with the Raiders(Division III)

Im purty sure the older fords had a 8.2 V-8 detroit diesel, or a 5.9 liter inline 6 cummings with a alisson AT-545 automatic the best way to find out what type of engine you have is to look on the valve covers to see if theres a decal on them

Thanks Phil, If you decide to go to a drum corps show, the tickets for Division II/III are a bargain. DCI hypes the Division I corps (premium prices) but Div II/III is every bit as good, just a little smaller.(Shameless plug) The Raiders are one of the best corps around. Phil, Duh! I almost forgot! Is there a good parts supplier or salvage yard in the area? They still need to replace that bad tensioner on the power steering.
