I believe Bluebird makes a body with decent height. There are reports out that some of the buses with Carpenter bodies manufactured at the Mitchell, Indiana plant have defective roof welds. I noticed that some dealers are selling these with salvage titles.

Bluebird bodies are roughly 74 inches headroom. 71-passenger conventional school buses are roughly 29-31 feet from rear door to back of driver seat. Add about 2.5 feet more for 77-passenger school bus.
