I have a Dodge 361 (1975) rebuilt motor with around 3000 miles on it. I have a gear rating of 7.17 in rear end. I installed a tachometer and at 3000 rpm's I am going around 48 mph. Is this suitable...is this about the max rpm's I should run with this engine to get maximum gas and performance? Or can I bring it up to around 3500 rpm's and be around 55 or 56 mph. Any suggestions? Thanks.....
