I have a 1985 Ford B700 with a 429 and 5 speed and a 12 Bolt 19,000lb Eaton Rear Axle. I want better highway mileage than i have now and a higher top speed, right now it only goes 95km/h at about 4000RPM, Not cool!!! I want to put a two speed rear axle or just a rear carrier with the two speed in there, any one done anything like this? any info would be great! Even what kinda of speeds and RPM's you guys are running that already have them? Thanks in Advance Jared

Hi, I replaced a 6.14 with a 4.11. The engine speed dropped from 2900 rpm at 55 mph to about 2200 rpm at 60 mph. I replaced the complete drive axle. One side benefit: The bus is quieter now. If do this, measure everything and then measure it some more. john the busboy
