Need generator alternative	gaurav	5-28-03
I have a bus, I cant afford an Onan, what is the best alternative or inexpensive option. I want to run a window unit AC, and simple lights and stuff. Any help is appriciated!!

I have been looking at generators (Generac) at hardware stores. I have been told they are a lot noisier than Onan.

The cheapest is still a genset an Onan on the top of it. It's even cheaper that running an AC system from the main engine if you got a gas engine. An Onan will last 20-30 years if maintain decently. There is no way a brand new cheapo will stand up to that. Watch for a used one,(classified,Ebay,) that is the cheapest & best. wrench
