Any experience converting bus to to PERMANENT house? mr.bear 5-23-03
I've been thinkin'... UH OH! A couple busses connected by a deck with a nice ramada would make a fine home for a Bear. Bus #1- work/living room, Bus #2- bath and bedroom.

I'd start by looking into the building code situation where ever this lands. It seems it should be possible to meet building code requirement similar to those for mobile homes, if one was creative.

Has anyone see this done? Can you share any weblinks or books that you'd recommend?

Are there any resources with detailed floor plans and dimensions of popular old busses? I want to get my architect buddy woking on it- that's the first thing he'll ask for. He'll want it on CAD- fer pete sakes!

TIA y'all - Mr. Bear

Have you heard of RV CHALETS ? they are buildings designed to park your RV inside of and use the space for living. it is attractive for fulltimers because it circumvents the building code, taxes etc. as it's just a storage building. see my http://groups.yahoo.com/group/schoolbusconversionuts
