Wiring diagram---Int.1960 B17 Pat Thompson 5-2-03
I need a wiring diagram for a 1960 International Bus (B17).

Old Chilton or Motor repair manuals should have most of the IHC wiring schematics you might need. The school bus chassis was wired the same as the trucks of the same GVWR.

As for the bus body, most conventionals built have always kept the chassis wiring somewhat seperated from the body wiring. To operate the bus body systems usually meant one large hot lead came from the chassis and went into the body electrical panel. From the panel and switches the power went out to all of the lights, heaters, etc.

If you have specific questions, let me know. I may be able to help.

Mark O.

P.S. It doesn't matter all that much but which company made the body on your bus? MRO
