Hi, We have a site at DeAnza Springs resort in Jacumba, CA. That is where the bus is located. It has not been listed for sale before. Its a two axle, six wheeled 35 footer. There are two six foot bunk beds (one over the other) just aft of the center escape door, and across from the bathroom and cedar lined closet. These bunks are solid metal framed, and enclosed in a roll-cage. The roll cage is not visible - its very well done. It also has a fold out couch behind the driver's seat, the kitchen table converts to a queen size bed, and another queen-size bed in the master bedroom in the rear. It is a horizontally mounted six cylinder 6.7 litre Hall-Scott engine in the center of the vehicle. The bus was converted by a fellow who in addition to owning and operating a professional big-rig truck repair is crew-chief to a NASCAR driver. He has a contract with the LA Unified schools and got the bus from them in need of transmission repair. He put in a top of the line 10 speed helio-synch truck transmission and replaced the brakes with top of the line Maxi-air brakes. He built the bus for himself to use when accompanying his NASCAR driver - which explains the reinforced bunk area for his kids. The transmission and beefy brakes were to allow him to tow multiple race cars - which it can easily do. In addition to the RV conversion, its got a full-on tool crib behind the exterior rear doors, a 5000 watt gasoline generator, and exterior flood lights. All frames, holding tanks, and the tool crib shelves and drawers are welded steel. It sports a beautiful paint job. It's got new steel-belted radials. I drove it up and down the coast from Napa to Jacumba (800+ miles one way) four times last summer. It gets 5-7 MPG with a full load of water and fuel. To simply say that the bus is road-worthy doesn't do it justice. The conversion was done in 1985 - and frankly, is old style. Everything works, but shows its age when compared to the new RV layouts. However, the coach, chassis, running gear, steering, drive train, aluminum hull, and quality of general construction far exceeds that of the most expensive new RV's that roll off the assembly line with price tags in excess of $500,000. I can't help being tickled when I'm talking to people who paid more for their rigs than a Malibu beach house and then have to get brake assisted tow trailers, or stabilization enhancements, or any of miriad other things lacking in their tin and plastic money pits. I love it, but with my kids grown and out of the house, my wife and I would like something a little smaller. I am motivated to sell. I'm asking $10,000 for it as it sits. Regards, James 213.487.7994

Hi John, Hall-Scotts are gasoline-powered engines. They were fairly popular engines in Crowns until the early 1960s.
