I have a 71 that I am converting, my question is "what is the best material for interior siding"? I have thought about using a thin sheet metal, is there something better and where can I get it?
I would consider some kind of wood panneling, the Sheet metal will be colder and less comfy feeling inside.
Consider removing the old metal and insulating the walls before you put anyting up though. you will be happy you did on some cold night up north.
you can use regular house insulation on the lower half and the solid core foil backed stuff for over the windows if you plan to cover sections of them
hope this helps -Beorn-
