'56 Ford Skoolie Seon 1-16-03
Thought I'd post a picture of my skoolie that I've owned for about four year. I have a big block Chevy and a 400 turbo transmission with a 2 speed rear end. I towed my '55 Chevy Bel Air up to Hot August Night Week in Reno last year and got about 8-9 MPG. Anyone out there with a vintage shorty skoolie? BTW I'm in Northern CA.

Re: '56 Ford Skoolie Oliver 2-4-04
Hi, I have an old 58 ford thomas built skoolie that I am trying to restore. It is in good condition but needs good tires. The 292 Y-block runs great and I believe it to have only 47000 miles on it. I would love to live on the road with it but certain risks seem to make it out of reach. If you know where to get good tires please let me know. But I am in GA so, prety far from CA. Hope to be in touch...
57 Chevy old skool bobthegirl 2-9-03
This is the 57 chevy bus I am buying. The rear of the bus is actually an Airstream. and the styley VW on top is awesome. I am stoked. I've got 2 kids (4 and 5) and we are all really excited. The engine is a 454and 3 speed rear end. SLOW AND MIGHTY. I'm told it gets 13 miles to the gallon on a good day. So what do you guys think? Is this a good deal for $2000? with a payment plan. The plumbing in the bathroom needs a holding tank and he's going to replace the throwout bearing and it been sitting for 8 months. check it out....

Re: '56 Ford Skoolie Leo Cowart 8-31-03
My wife and I, live in L.A. ( thats lower Alabama, in Wilmer ) We now own a '56 Superior coach w/a ford chassie, originally 272cid V-8 and 4-speed top loader, we are converting it to a 361-FT motor and 5-speed + a 2-speed rear end, what I need to know is, Where is the factory VIN locations, there is no visible plate under the hood or on the fire wall. there should be a stamp in the frame somewhere, we do have a readable coach plate with body, model and Sill numbers but no VIN information, could you be of some help?

For: bobthegirl, the '57 picture didn't come up. But I'd like to see another "Vintage Classic" Bus. If you could post again or email pictures?
