Wanted: cheap diesel bus in Pac NW for biodiesel conversion Greg 12-8-02  
Student @ WWU in bellingham WA needs a (preferably shorter than full size) diesel school bus for biodeisel/ waste vegtable oil class project. The bus will be used to educate others about alternative fuel options.

Can travel to pick-up... Must be diesel, any condition is ok..

Check auctions. Call local school districts and see where they get rid of their busses. I just got a very good condition 65 pass '80 IHC for $800. Your results may vary, but go to a few auctions, and be sure to show up the day before to the inspection with someone who knows what they are looking at.

Hello there Greg, school project huh?! I had the same intensions of an adaption for myself, but haven't had the enthusiam/time for so many projects at hand that its been sitting. I have a GMC 1968 shortie I am willing to part with and would love to be a part of the project you are a part of. Funny i was thinking about relocating to that area myself (puget sound)and could possibly deliversaid vehicle. Lets talk. I'm interested in the school for taking on such a task. I am a former vocational instructor of precision machining and a scholar of alternative energy. I personally would love to be of any assistance,involvement with the assignment,if I could be of any help.
I should mention that I in addition to being a machinist,I am a mechanic, have had diesel fuel systems training and have even built engines and supporting components/systems from raw materials. Does your project require any certain type of diesel engine? I have many that I could offer.Even some of those that are rare and hard to find. Please give me a call (415)386-9260, Darius
