How does the nutral start switch work in a 1975 Crown with 5 sp trans?
Until yesterday I have had to wiggle the shift lever while pushing the start button to get it to start. Now it doesn't matter how much wiggling goes on it will not start.
Any ideas?
I have a 1988 Toyota Collora 3 speed automatic transmision. When does not start. After waited for 5 minutes. It will start again. How can repair such non-start problem?
It's mounted on the transmission. When the trans is in park or nuetral it allows the starting circuit to work. It sounds like yours has slipped out of adjustment, or maybe gone bad.
You can work around it by pulling the two wires off the switch and attaching them together. THIS IS TEMPORARY ONLY!!
This is a safety item. do not bypass it permanently!!
Push in the Safety, flip the switch and hit the button. if that don't work, it's messed up.
Works great when you loosey our keys or forget them like I have hehehe
The override button is used when you are in gear with the clutch pedel down.
If it's not working, gimme an email and I'll see what my hubby says. He's a Crown fan like myself.
