I have a 1948 Chevy School Bus that I am finally ready to upgrade the engine on. I need someone to talk to about engine possibilities and costs of service. The bus currently has a 235ci and I have found a 85 IHC with a 9.0 Diesel that I was hoping would fit. I am in the Madison, Wisconsin Area. Please mail me if you know anyone or are looking for some work.
Thanx,
Muel

Hi
The easiest swap would be the small block Chevy V-8. You would have a choice of displacements and the bell housing bolt pattern should be the same. If you must have a diesel I would go with one that is in production.
Good Luck
