I was curious how old you have to be, to be a bus driver? If anyone knows, let me kno.

In most states you have to be 18 to drive a school bus,i started driving them when i was 17 but i didnt have passengers on board untill i turned 18. the company i drive for is family owned so i was able to start driving school buses at a younger age. been driving school bus for almost 4 years now and i love it, i also own 2 schoolbuses. Aaron I was curious how old you have to be, to be a bus driver? If anyone knows, let me kno.

Hi Busfrk, Some States require you to be 18 years old, others require you to be 21 years old. I started driving when I turned 18. A good place to go to learn more about school bus driving in general is the School Bus Fleet Magazine Forums @ http://www.schoolbusfleet.com/forum/. Hope this helps you some.

I am a full-time bus driver and I love it.
