As far as Blue Book value goes, I don't think I've ever heard of "blue book" value on any used school bus.

Your best price range for something that old would probably be anywhere between $1500/$2000 depending on condition. If it's REAL bad, then I wouldn't even bother with it.

I would like the price for a 1986 chevrolet I believe is a 15-20 passenger bus, with a 6.2 diesel engine, with about 40,000 miles on it.

I have a 1978 ford econoline leisure van. the exterior is in fair condition. the interior is in excellent condition. it has a sink and closet and hookups outside for running water. it only has 52000 original miles on it.

I have a 1973 Ford/Wayne School Bus. Not Sure of the miles. It runs on propane and has since 1977. Engine specifications: 391ci.

Actually, there is a 'blue book' for school buses, but I've never seen a copy of it before.

What Steven said sounds about right. Most used school buses around that age usually bring in $1500.00-$3000.00 depending on their overall condition.

Also, if it's a transit-style (rear engine) rather than a Conventional (nose in front), it may bring in a little more.

It all just depends on what you have.

What is the value of these used school buses? 1. 1986 GMC, A body type, Blue Bird body make, capacity 21, 5.7 liter engine with @ 87,500 miles. 2. 1988 Ford, A body type, Thomas body make, capacity 20, 351 cubic inch engine with @ 71,000 miles. 3. 1992 Chevy, A body type, Wayne body make, capacity 21, 350 cubic inch engine with @ 78,000 miles.

My friemd's church has a 1989 Ford Econoline 350, 25 passenger bus, for which they paid $2,000.00, and have put $2,500.00 of work into. I'm told it is in good working order, and they would like to know what to ask for it, as they no longer use it, and are ready to sell it and recoup as much of their money as possible. This is the closest site I can find regarding the blue book value of a bus, and I hope you can help. Thank you very much.

Could you give me a blue book value on 2000 Freightliner, Thomas Convential 47 Passenger yellow bus. Cumm. 175 hp ISB DSL with 545 automatic tranmission, air brakes w/ABS, tilt steering column, block heater, stop arm with lights, heated double nickel mirrors, AM/FM/Cass/PA, outside PA system. The bus currently has 14918 miles on it per its Dec 2006 DOT inspection. We are beginning to look at our options to sell this bus outright due to lack of use on our part. Any information you may have for me would be extemely helpful.

This little bus seats 20 passengers also has a w/c lift. It has 100,500 miles on it. It's been very well maintained. It's owned by a non-profit organization and they would like to sell it but need an idea of the blu book value. Can you help with this?
