Crown floor panels David G 5-8-02
I'm converting a 1975 Crown. I've got the seats out. There are 4 access panels in the floor. How hard should I try to leave access to these? Why would I need to get at them again?

Hi David

I would try to leave those as accessible as possible. The front one gives you access to the entire top of the engine, and the rear one gives you access to the differential.

It wouldn't be a good idea to place something over those that would make it difficult to gain access to them in the future.

Since your Crown is a mid engine, the floor panels give you access to an other wise unaccessible engne. Leave SOME way to get to them.

p.s. I have a Crown for parts, and someothe misc bus stuff, so give me an email and I will help with parts, or just advice. My first bus ever was a 67 Crown with a 220, and I dismantled another for parts, so I know these machines pretty well
