Post New Message The belt should deflect about 1/2" per 12".
The way it work, the regulator control the air going to the intake valve, when the pressure reach the pre-adjusted point it let air go trough & close the valve so the intake vale close & keep the compressor from getting air to compress. Having a status of not building pressure= the regulator is letting air trough to the valve & keep them closed & not getting air to compress.
Disconnect the small hose or tube going to the regulator & it should start to built pressure, if not then you got an other problem.
