Ocean Beach, CA doable in RV? JohnA 7-25-07
I just bought a 31' Class C and want to visit Ocean Beach, CA. I was there once long ago (not in an RV) and have vague memories of narrow, steep streets. Should I avoid the beach, or is this doable?

To clarify: The Ocean Beach I mean is the one in San Diego.

I would park away from ob and bus or walk in to town. lots of drinkers on sidewalk/street/beach no parking ever at beach i stay at sun island resort in harbison canyon cheap as they come and no where nicer, or doheny or silver strand state parks, or shelter island and then move about city in car or bike or bus

OB is doable for sure in a motorhome...they're all over OB. You can't stay overnight in the Dog Beach parking lot, but many OB-shuns live in they're RV's and vans parked on the streets. Beach lot opens at 5:30am.

See ya at the Sunshine Co.
