Re: 1969 Aristocrat LowLiner manual needed kathleen 8-22-07
Hey Don-

Thanks for the info. We hav eit just about finished, I'm working on the seat cushions now as my hubby's boss tossed EVERYTHING when he cleared it out ????

I did find the window crank handles at an RV store that just opened up here, but still need some advice with the canopy. It looks like the slide in bag type but I have been unable to find anything online. I think (fingers crossed) that I can rig up something with a tarp, some tuck tape, and tubing to at least get something for now.

Mine is a 14ft or a little less and while we have not restored it with original stuff, it's very functional and we are basically using it when we go camping so I do all of the cooking ourside and there is no fridge. Basically just "hard tent" roughing it so to speak.

Mine sounds a lot simplier than all of the campers described about, maybe due to the length but we were able to get a window air unit in the back vent square under the counter. So it's working pretty nicely.

We are in SC and taking it labor day weekend with about 30 total friends so we are very excited. I hope it cools off though as it been over 100 with the heat index!!!!!

Hello Amy,

My wife and I bought a 1969 lo-liner about a year ago. We have been working like dogs on the thing to get it ready to use. We worked on the inside first and it's just about done. Just painted the outside this past sunday. We also have no manual but I have done so much to this one in every way I might be able to help you with ANY questions you might have. I have been searching for parts for ours and found a lot of things in junk yards in our area. Our neighbors have been watching the tranistion of this camper from when we brought it home. It was in real rough shape. I would love to send pictures of it so you can see what we have done. Then you will know what I can do and maybe even help you out. I was a mechanic for twenty years. I do electrical work and home repair in my area. Would love to see some picturs of your camper! Will show you pictures of ours from the start to now. We live in Pahrump Nevada and the dry weather has saved this camper from rotting away.
Hope to hear from you.

Re: 1969 Aristocrat LowLiner manual needed Kathleen 4-23-07
WE too just acquired a 69 Aristocrat CCH (?) Lo-liner. I was in semi ok shape but my husband's boss originall ripped EVERYTHING out of it. SO when he got frustrated he just GAVE it to us (Yippee). Hubby replaced counter with just a bar sink, no cooking or propane at all, removed the fridge put down hardwood floors. We've repainted it inside and out. Used it for the first time this weekend and it was WONDERFUL.
Now I need help finding:
original window crank handles,
an original door the one one it nows appears to be an old metal trailer door
and the sliding piece on the screen door that makes room for the door knob so bugs won't get in.

I can do without or make shift everything BUT the window crank handles

Any suggestions?

We Picked up an old Lowliner from a friend, it is in good condition but I could use a manual for the LP fridge, it is a 1970 model. We are also looking for the vin number for it. I have looked in all the normal places. thanks

Just got my hands on a nearly perfect condition unit last nite. Still searching drawers and cleaning. I found all the appliance manuals but no camper one yet. It is so mod of a unit. Love it.

I have owned my 23', 1969 Aritocrate Low Liner for twenty six years. It has a full bathroom, with a shower.
Stove, oven, lights all work. Seats cushions, panels all look good.
Windows all operate great.
OuterPaint is faded, but looks good.
Sleeps four comfortably.
Leave message if serious.

Hi, Don: Congrats on restoring your 1969 Aristocrat. I have done the same. Got mine in 2000 and spent a lot of hours on it. I don't think they came with a manual as such, but a few pieces of paper with information were passed on to me with the camper.

Right now I need help figuring out which replacement lock (Bargman) to order, as last night I came home to find that my little Aristocrat was locked shut and the lock finally gave out - won't open with any of my 3 keys. So I can't get in. When I can rectify the situation, I can find my pieces of paper and make copies for you. Can you give me any help with the lock information I need? Talked to the local locksmith who says I need to get one myself and has 47 service calls lined up!

Worst of all, I've been using it as an office and my computer and phone system are locked in there. Am at the library now, researching Bargman locks.

Cheers, Mandy.

My 1965 Aristocat is leaking water out of the bathroom, and I can't figure out how to get to the pipes! I think the one behind the shower is broken. If I take the stove out, can I get to the lines behind the shower that way?
Re: 1969 Aristocrat LowLiner manual needed Teresa 8-7-07
I found a pamphlet on the internet, will be more than happy to email a copy to you.

From what I have been able to gather, these trailers did not so much have a specific manual, but a maintainence chart. Also, we were lucky enough to find a manilla envelope in a cabinet in ours from the different components manufacturers.

We have a brochure on the Monomatic toilet, Magic Chef stove & oven, Coleman furnace, and one for the stove, which in all outward appearance is probably a replacement.

I have all, so if you would like them copied and mailed to you, I would be more than happy for a fellow vintage trailer traveler!

Just send me an address where you would like this mailed to. (I would scan & email, but too much to do that with.)

Sincerely,
Teresa

Re: 1969 Aristocrat LowLiner manual needed Don 4-29-07
Kathleen,
We bougght ours a year ago and just finished it and used it this past weekend. The window cranks in our unit were round and not the crank type. Don't know if that is what you have or not but we got them at a local RV store. I can take pictures of the handles and send you a picture. I can have them order more if you want me to do that...Let me know...Have answered a few people on here and NEVER get any responce from them...Not sure how this site works....Let me know....

Re: 1969 Aristocrat LowLiner manual needed Kathleen 4-23-07
Oh and also about the canopy. Where would I go for that and maybe the outside covers forthe front and rear windows. Oddly enough there really aren't any RV dealers in or around our area at all so I really have no where to start.
Re: 1969 Aristocrat LowLiner manual needed Don 4-29-07

Re: 1969 Aristocrat LowLiner manual needed Teresa 8-7-07
Dear Don, Saw your post in 'My RV Guide'. Looks like you are the answer man, and we have plenty of questions.

Just got our Lo-Liner this weekend, 1972 17'. We were blessed with actual component manuals from the manufacturers and I found a maintainence chart on the internet. (will be more than happy to make you copies, just let me know.)

Ours does not have a canopy, there are what appear to be boat hooks (?) on top edge, and sides over door. Are these part of an awning set up? Tell me more about the awning, and where to locate rv junk yards, they do sound fun!

Does anyone have an "L" shaped kitchen in their lowliner? I have only seen one other besides my '70. Must have been an option.
Re: 1969 Aristocrat LowLiner manual needed DON 4-25-09
I SOLD 1969 ARISTOCRAT LOW-LINERS BRAND NEW IN INDIANA. THERE NEVER WAS A MANUAL FOR THAT UNIT. OR ANY OTHERS BACK THEN. THE UNITS WERE MANUFACTUREED BY I.B. PERCH OUT OF CALIF. THEN A PLANT OPENED IN INDIANA. THERE DEFINITELY WAS NO SHOWERS IN THE LOW LINER. IT DID COME WITH A PAIL TOLIET IN PARTICAL BOARD FRAME SHOVED UNDER A CABINET IN THE REAR. THE ID PLATE ON THE REAR OD THE TRAILER READ 'YOU'RE FOLLOWING A ARISTOCRAT'. THE BIG SISTER AT THE TIME WAS 17' AND CALLED ' LAND COMMANDER.' THE UNIT DID COME WITH A BRAKE CONTROLLER AND ELECTRICAL PLUG FOR THE TOW VEHICLE FROM THE FACTORY WITH THE TRAILER. AFTER THE INTRODUCTION OF THESE TRAILERS LARGER 20' WERE PRODUCED WITH COMPLETE BATHS.
I.B. PERCH WAS INDUCTED INTO THE RV HALL OF FAME FOR BEING A PIONEER IN THE RV INDUSTRY. THESE FIRST UNIT WERE ADVERTISED AS HAVING 1" HIGH DENSITY INSULATION. THE BARGMAN LOCKS ARE STILL AVAILABLE DEPENDING ON WHICH MODEL YOU HAVE. THERE HOWEVER EXISTS MASTER KEY FOR ALL THOS OLD LOCKS IF YOU CAN FIND THEM.. IF YOUOWN A 1969 LOWLINER, YOU DO OWN A PART OF THE RV HISTORY. BEEN SELLING RVS FOR 45 YEARS THIS YEAR GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR RESTORATIONS DON
