I have a Dodge 2003 Dakota crew cab with 4x4 drive and a V8. Just how big or what can I pull? I don't plan on long trips mostly around the midwest. No mountains.
thanks
mike
The tow vehicle (your pickup) has a GVWR -Gross Vehicle Weight Rating which is posted on the inside driver's door frame. It will tell you the maximum load your truck can carry/pull. I would think a Dakota would have a max wieght rating od about 3K lb to 4K lb pulling if it has stout suspension. That means a maximum tongue wieght of no more than 400lbs. Check your owner's manual under towing.
