I am considering purchasing a 1969 Aristocrat Land Commander. I have never owned a trailer before, and would appreciate any information possible, including owner's manual.
I have had my Aristocrat Starliner for a whopping 2 1/2 weeks-I've been 'living' at the RV supply store. They have been in business since the 50's and told me that the Aristocrats are very sturdy, very well made. The metal strips at all the panelling joints have made them very strong. The weak point is the panelling-the veneer tends to peel off over the years. Mine isn't really doing this, but I guess some do. I would get an Aristocrat if I were you-lots of storage, well laid out floorplan-sturdy.
I purchased my Aristocrat one year ago.
I love it! It's very spacious with lots of storage. I have taken it desert camping and lake camping, it's also used as an extra party house when we have summer parties outside.
Can't go wrong with an aristocrat, they are made very well.
Have fun!
I grew up with a 16' aristocrat Land commander camper. we took it all over. very nice. there were 4 of us,but, it actually can sleep 6!
sadly, we sold her about 20 years ago.
My wife and I just bought home a 1970 Land Commander and we haven't the first clue as to where to start. I have noticed some things missing such as a breaker in the cabinet above the kitchen area.
I'm trying to find as much info on this trailer as I can in the process of restoring this classic. It is my hope to find some who might know something about this nice piece of workmanship with the ability to offer advice or any kind of assistance in the restoration.
Thank you in advance to all who might respond to this post.
