Just bought this, and I like it so far but am CLUELESS about how this stuff works, and of course it didn't come with a manual. THis is the Mobile Traveler on a Chevy C-Van Chassis. I don't know how the electrical works, or the water, how to use electrical stuff when we aren't hooked up at a campground (like I'd like to be able to plug in a radio or something, but can't seem to figure this out). Don't know how the sewage system works, shower, how I turn on the water pump. Can you say CLUELESS?? LOL
Anyone have a manual for the Mobile Traveler from '72-'79 or know where to get my hands on one, I'd appreciate it greatly. A copy will do! I live in the St. Louis metro area, so anyone who would be willing to show me a few things, I'd be willing to learn!
Need info on a manual for this R.V. need electrical scemeatic for ac/dc (switch, converter)diagrams if possible would like to know how it all routs through, front to back.
I can help you with any questions! Email me with pictures of the camper and we can start from there. We bought an A class 1977 camper and I was in the same boat as you. Not a clue but I taught myself and asked a ton of questions.
Now I know every nut and bolt on the darn thing....lol
Dear susabelle i just bought what sounds like the same camper 1976 mobile traveler on chevy van 30 21 ft. chassis. the electric plugs oonly work if your hooked to power or have a genmerator.. the water pump should have a switch in front of it on the lower bunk. you dont need the pump if you are hooked to water. there should be another switch near the sink to change from a/c to d/c when your not pluged in. the most important thing with any rv is to level it. one level should be on the outside near drivers door that for front to rear leveling and the one one the dash near speedo is for side to side. no matter what you do or what your power is the fridge will NOT work unless your rv is level. so before you think it is broken level it. you will not hear the fridge go on like at home but leave ity closed and you will see it will get cold in no time. you can email me anytime just put 76 mobile traveler in your subject so i dont delete it
ME too me too??
Hi Lorrie,
We bought a "81" mobile traveler too only to find out the chassis is a 79 dodge.
We bought it almost a year ago and have not used it at all because I cant get the tail or brake lights working.
I think its something under the dash but I cant find it and my boyfriend is hopelessly clueless.
any ideas? anyhelp would be gratefully received!
thanks
