Just brought a new fifth wheel Lynn 1-27-04
Where do I start!!?? We just purchased a new Laredo fifth wheel made by Keystone RV. As I was looking at the "ratings" of RV's, I noticed that there are two Keystones. One says Keystone Rv and the other just Keystone. The Keystone Rv rating is higher. Please someone tell me if my husband and I bought a "lemon"!!!!!! I need to hear from anyone that owns a Laredo and what they think of theirs.

We purchased our Laredo in June. We have taken it out three times and each time something else is wrong with it. So far they are replacing the referigerator door, microwave/convection oven, bathroom door. The pump was so loud and mounted on the wall, the dealer moved it to the floor and insulated the lines that feed through a hole under the bathroom sink. Insulation came out and sounds like a thousand woodpeckers. Today my husband tried to winterize it. He ended up putting in 24 gal of antifreeze because the opening on the water tank is not in the bottom. It is a 40 gal. water tank and when it is about half empty it won't pump water. The couch hideabed frame was bent and has to be replaced. We didn't get the remote to the radio so can't play radio. Screws in furnace vents are put in crooked and sharp ends of screws came through on the stands in the living room. One chair is broken already. There is no heater vent in the shower area....
We traded in a 89 Carilite, very well made but too small. We are very disappointed. Dealership told us to contact Keystone Customer Service. We are thinking of getting rid of it next summer and trying again. Apparently we didn't do our homework very well. WE were told it is the assembly line workmanship and when the dealer orders parts they don't get the right parts.
