First of all, will 5Kw be sufficient for your needs? If so, what size is the tank for gasoline? Is it sufficient so that you don't have to continually be stopping and filling up?
Also, what RPM is the motor running at? For RVs, it is nice to have a generator run at 1800 rpm, since this doesn't cause as much as disturbance when your parked near others. What kind of muffler does it have? If it is a contractor's model, think twice, since these are loud!
It's up to you, but if it is a sweet deal, then you can always find a use for a generator. Whether or not you use it for your RV will be determinied by your needs.
